prom cool

Each year Teen Vogue presents a prom issue, which I love to read and which always makes me wish being a 16 year old American girl attending her first prom...
In this April's issue there is the really cute editorial "Twilight", showing a rather vamped-up, kind of "Luella girl" take on the prom dress:

Lindsay

I like Lindsay.
I really do, despite all the drama and scandals...
Perhaps, it's because I sometimes still think of her as the cute little redhead, she used to be when she starred in the Parent trap, playing the twins Hallie and Annie (one of my favourite movies, when I was a kid)...
or perhaps it's because I feel empathy with her. After all, growing up is not always easy, in particular when you're always in the spotlight and don't get any support at home...
well, I think Lindsay is a special girl. That is why I really like these pictures by Hedi Slimane: Lindsay looks flirty but also fragile and really beautiful in her own way!

Teen is hot

I JUST LOVE TEEN VOGUE!
Although I am not technically a teenie anymore, I buy Teen Vogue each month! I like the girlie vibe of the magazine, plus they have the best editorials! Don't get me wrong: I very much appreciate the work of the "grown-up" Vogues, their editorials are real pieces of art and I could delve into them for hours...still sometimes I find it hard to adopt what I see to my own personal style. The very fresh editorials of Teen Vogue, instead, usually inspire me in a very practical way, I always find a combination I would immediately want to try out for myself!

Just take this January's issue: the editorial shown below is just lovely with its washed out denims, pastel colours, liberty-print florals and messy hair. Somehow, it reminds me vaguely of Burberry SS09, yet styled in a very easy, young and playful way.

One last thought: maybe I keep on reading Teen Vogue as some kind of unconscious defense from growing older...?

Nooo - I think it's rather due to the fabulous Teen-Voguettes and the great work they put into each single issue!!

Beautiful Isabeli

Today, I finally found the time to read through the January issue of German Vogue. I really like the very personal editorial with Isabeli Fontana. She is such an extraordinary beauty...

Above, she is wearing an YSL zipper dress. On the pictures below you can see her playing around with her kids, posing in the amazing Balmain frock and with the white chanel guitar.
